WER²L celebrates the presentation and paper awards received by its researchers at academic conferences. These certificates recognize research contributions in water treatment, environmental remediation, and resource recovery.

Recognized for “Investigation of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) Degradation in a Simulated Landfill Bioreactor under Different Operational Modes.” Awarded on October 26, 2023.

2. Outstanding Poster Presentation Award — Eraliev Javokhirbek, Sung Hyuk Park

Recognized for “Evaluating Biochar Preparation Methods for Phosphorus Removal from Aqueous …” at the 2024 Water Expo. Awarded on August 29, 2024. The awardee’s name and the end of the research title are too small to read reliably.

3. Outstanding Paper Award — Arnab Ghosh and Sung Hyuk Park

Recognized at the KSCE 2022 Convention for “Facile Synthesis of Sn(II) MOF Using Waste PET Bottles as Organic Precursors: Trace Arsenate Remediation from Aqueous Medium.” Awarded on October 21, 2022.

4. Outstanding Poster Presentation Award — Eraliev Javokhirbek, Sung Hyuk Park

Recognized for developing a PAN–PCL composite membrane containing mussel shells and spent coffee grounds for heavy-metal adsorption from wastewater. Awarded on October 30, 2025.

5. Outstanding Paper Award — Arnab Ghosh

Recognized at the 2024 Water Expo for research on industrial wastewater treatment and resource recovery. Awarded on August 29, 2024. The exact Korean research title needs confirmation.
